    The reddish colouring sometimes found upon the outer surfaces of Ixia dubia tepals is visible upon some of them here. Lower down these outside tepal surfaces may be nearly as yellow as on their insides.

    The inside of the corolla has dull green colouring at the tepal bases just before they disappear into the thread-like flower tube. This dark central patch is not always green, while the corolla colour may also be orange (Manning, 2007; Bean and John, 2005; iNaturalist).
