Habenaria dives flower

Habenaria dives flowers are small, white and green. The inside surfaces of the reflexed, broadly and obliquely ovate lateral sepals are dull green, glistening in the photo. The dorsal sepal is similar, but symmetrical. The sepals sometimes display green veins.

The white lateral petals are divided into narrow upper parts with tips pointing upwards, while the shorter lower parts taper and curve outwards, spreading sideways. The lip below the flower centre is three-lobed, the lobes narrow, green upon their tips in the photo.

There is a spur at the back of the lip, protruding more than 1 cm downwards. The stigma has two short, chunky and shiny projecting arms, dull green in the flower centre.

Flowering happens in summer and early autumn (Pooley, 1998).
