    The dry fruit capsules of Delosperma litorale persist in clusters above or among the leaves. These simple capsules have five locules each with valves and valve wings, although no closing bodies.

    The small globose seeds, pale brown in colour, have probably been dispersed already, although there might still be a few surprises for later inside some of the dry husks. The plant is adapted to setting seed also in the spray zone near the beach. New plants sprout from some of the more unlikely rock crevice abodes, creeping bravely over undulations to face the elements with regular responses of small white flowers (Smith, et al, 1998).
