The flowering of Syncarpha argyropsis may be a luxurious affair. This sighting happened in October in the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden. The normal flowering season is from late winter through spring.

The long lasting flowerheads are discoid, the tubular florets yellow, surrounded by pointed, white, papery bracts in several rows. The yellow florets have by the time of the photo turned brown in the flowerhead centres. Flowerhead diameter is from 1,5 cm to 2 cm.

Maroon markings may be present on the bracts. There is an uncommon pinkish form that is grown at Kirstenbosch (Lutzeyer and Privett, 2010; Manning, 2007; Mustart, et al, 1997; iNaturalist).
