    Drosanthemum lique becomes a robust shrub, often heavily browsed by livestock and game in the Little Karoo veld.

    The ovoid, pale green leaf pairs, their back ends closely together from the absence of petioles, are spaced on wiry, woody stems. No two pairs seem here to be of exactly the same size (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984).
