    Eriospermum zeyheri raceme

    The flowers of Eriospermum zeyheri are here clustered densely together in a short raceme. The pale green buds at the top have dark pink tips and so do the curved-in tips of the spreading, white tepals of the open flowers.

    The dull green scape is unevenly mottled red. Not much of the leaf that grew earlier is visible upon the ground next to the stem.

    This plant lives or lived in the Little Karoo.
