    This Indigofera heterophylla flower has a dark patch at the base of its banner petal. The banner has a rounded tip, erect over the flower centre. The lateral petals, claw-like at the base, bulge in their central parts and spread slightly to expose the folded keel below.

    The visible stem is pale brown, some are darker brown. The trifoliolate leaves have pale blue-green surfaces.

    The plant was photographed in the Gifberg in October (Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
