    Agathosma capitata stem-tips

    Agathosma capitata stem-tips
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The profusion of upper stem-tips of a thriving Agathosma capitata bush are densely leafy, before and after flowering. The narrow, incurving leaves have whitish hairs on margins and keels.

Some discarded stamens are still present among the leaves where flowerheads have been replaced by leaf growth, the developing fruits probably hidden underneath (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; JSTOR; iNaturalist).
