    The dark green leaves of this unidentified Erica of the Piketberg Mountain are oblong, their margins strongly rolled under. The leaves ascend without petioles in spaced whorls of three up the stems. Short, soft hair is sparse and whitish upon the fleshy surfaces, a small mucro protruding at the leaf tip like a nail or claw (Baker and Oliver, 1967).
