The opposite stem-leaves of Hemimeris sabulosa in picture separated by large internodes are stalkless and simple. The leaf-shape is narrowly ovate, the margins lobed or toothed, although not on the plant in the photo. The leaves are almost hairless to slightly hairy, the hairs soft and short, the stem in picture hairy (Privett and Lutzeyer, 2010; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
