    Wiborgia tenuifolia calyces
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The calyx of a Wiborgia tenuifolia flower is two-lipped with a bell-shaped tube and narrow, pointed lobes. Sparsely scattered pale hairs cover the green and purple surface, longer than those on the short pedicels and stem.

The petioles hold the leaves erect; the pedicels allow the flowers to nod. Some dark veins are present on the smooth petals (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
