    Agathosma crenulata leaves

    Agathosma crenulata leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The Agathosma crenulata leaves show their dull cream midribs and two pairs of lateral veins on the dark green, glossy surfaces; clearly in the lower leaf parts, invisible near the tips. The lowest pair of veins are faint, close to the margins, curving about parallel to them.

Seen closely, the crenulations of the leaf margins vary in size and shape (Manning, 2009; Bean and Johns, 2005; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000).
