Aloiampelos commixta inflorescence

The inflorescence of Aloiampelos commixta is unbranched. It is a small, rounded raceme that sits high on a long and stout, erect peduncle. There are often two or three of these flower stalks from one leaf rosette.

The perianths or flower tubes are yellow sometimes with some orange that usually disappears as the perianths mature. The little tubes also start off with a slight greenish tinge when small. Stamens are slightly exserted from the pendulous open perianths. There are small bracts at the base of the pedicels. The blooming season is spring (Van Wyk and Smith, 1996; Jeppe, 1969; iNaturalist).
