Asparagus densiflorus "Meyersii", the cats tail asparagus or foxtail fern, is one of the notable forms of A. densiflorus that is established in horticulture. It is a perennial herb, characterised by a number of erect stems densely covered by foliage, appearing as arched, furry cylinders.

Often planted as a ground cover, in containers or hanging baskets, best results are achieved when grown in shade or semi-shade. The plants have elaborate, tuberous root systems (www.plantzafrica.com; Wikipedia).
