Babiana framesii bears trumpet-shaped, blue-purple flowers with long tubes that are slightly curved. The spreading tepal lobes are half as long as the tube. White markings, somewhat arrow-shaped or sometimes so, occur on the lower lateral tepals, surrounded by darker blue patches. Flower diameter is about 3,5 cm.

The flowers are slightly fragrant. They are seen from late winter to early spring (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; iNaturalist; www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
