Streptocarpus dunnii, the crimson streptocarpus, is a stemless perennial reaching heights around 20 cm.
The species distribution is in Mpumalanga and Swaziland.
The plants grow in montane grassland at higher elevations among rocks or in seasonally moist bushveld, often ensconced in crevices among boulders. The species is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century (Manning, 2009; Onderstall, 1984; Germishuizen and Fabian, 1982; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
