Erica ericoides is one of the true heaths, characterised by short corollas with shallow lobe-tips that are not star-like.
A dense flower cluster is nodding at every stem-tip on this Table Mountain plant in March. The upper stems bearing the flowers are short and soft, variously curved. The stubby leaves are imbricate (overlapping) on the stems (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
