The lumpy fruits of Freesia refracta in picture are spaced like beady globules on the now heavily burdened inflorescence stalk. The rough-surfaced, leathery capsule skins dry out and shrink, allowing the seeds their dispersal opportunities.

The shiny, brown seeds look like bird food. There will be someone keen to check what happens to them, or someone who by chance notices the significant real-world events and may tell the story.

So, information continually accumulates, confirming anticipated occurrences in periodic, retained records. The last word? Never! Imagination may always generate one more question adding another chapter.

As long as things live, their stories are not yet over and history continues to be made, albeit in a repetitive cycle (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist).
