    The inflorescence of Lapeirousia plicata subsp. plicata comprises several to many flowers on short, branched stalks. The large, green, floral bracts usually have crisped margins. Flowering happens from before midwinter to early spring.

    The corolla tube is up to 25 mm long, the petals spreading to about 10 mm (Van Rooyen and Van Rooyen, 2019; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt. 1984; iNaturalist; www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
