Crassula nudicaulis var. platyphylla leaves

The fairly broad, obovate or paddle-shaped Crassula nudicaulis var. platyphylla leaves seen here are borne erectly. The typical red leaf margins form rigid rims around the thicker central parts, more convex on their outside surfaces than the about flat insides. Some tiny dark spots are scattered along at least some of the surfaces, reminding of those seen on C. arborescens.

The photo was taken near Oudtshoorn in March. Flowering happens in spring, sometimes later, probably rain related. Leaf colour is sometimes greener with purple spreading across mainly upper parts of the blades; maybe more seen on cultivated plants (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; http://worldofsucculents.com).
