    The yellow or orange flowerheads of Oedera capensis grow at stem tips. They are large with oblong ray florets that have rounded tips. What at first glance appears as the disc florets, are actually small flowerheads in themselves, making the large ones false or doubly compounded flowerheads.

    Flowering happens from winter to early spring (Manning 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984).
