Brown vein lines may be present on the lower surfaces of Moraea nana tepals, in some plants also visible on the upper surfaces.
The clawed tepal bases are visible, dark patches present at least on their outsides. The short claws are nearly erect, providing some tubular support for filament and style bases that are positioned on top of the cylindrical green ovary (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist).
