Up close, there is much hairiness in the developing Salvia disermas inflorescence. Purple ridges emphasise the four-angled feature of the stem shape.
The calyces also have their purple colouring in ridged lines among the green. The calyces of this species do not enlarge during fruiting.
The white corolla in picture has no hairs on its inner surface. The small lateral lobes of the lower lip angle outwards, their tips pointed. The lower, central ones are concave and square-tipped. Crumpled old corollas are brown, still hairy (Manning, 2009; iNaturalist).
