Antimima paripetala

Antimima paripetala pushes new, red-margined leaf-pairs through the gaps between the previous stem-tip pairs of leaves, succeeding them at right angles in decussate manner.

Three generations of flowers have grown on the plant in picture: oldest, the grey, dry six-loculed capsules, secondly a not so dry old flower still bigger than the desiccated capsules showing some retained succulence with six pale brown sepals still erect on the circumference of the fruit, and lastly, the latest arrival, a white flower just past its prime.

This vygie also flowers pale pink (Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist).
