The outer edge of a Trametes versicolor cap is always white or nearly so. The fungi in picture have these wide outer bands or rims of white. In some fungi the rims are narrow.
Striking individual differences occur between some T. versicolor specimens across the world, while identical patterns are repeated in the caps growing together on the same tree.
One could assume that the same caps are repeated from identical genetic material. And maybe the individual differences are over time increased in fungi spread across the globe (iNaturalist; www.mushroomexpert.com; Wikipedia).
