Hesperantha baurii subsp. baurii buds in bracts

Hesperantha baurii subsp. baurii flowers lack pedicels, the inflorescence a spike.

Each corolla has two opposing, slightly unequal bracts. In picture the bracts still concealing the tepals are green or brownish green and longitudinally ridged.
