Gazania rigida leaves

The dark to dull green leaves of Gazania rigida are usually lobed or dissected narrowly elliptically to oblong, the margins rolled under. Undivided leaves exist but are less common.

The central leaf axis is narrow, rachis-like and channelled. The opposite lobe pairs end in acutely pointed tips. The lobes may be wider than in picture, up to 1 cm in width.

The lower leaf surfaces are white and woolly, above also hairy, roughly but sparsely (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; iNaturalist).
