Some veined Orthochilus leontoglossus leaves can be seen in this photo. The leaves of this orchid are partly or fully grown at bloomtime. They become 45 cm long and 0,9 cm wide. The inflorescence comprises from 7 to 35 flowers. A flower is about 16 mm in diameter.

Common names of lion’s tongue or lion’s tooth orchid are around.

Use it as a charm against lightning if you believe the anxious feeling might disappear. Some people do. You’ll never know if it did not work (Pooley, 1998).
