    Tetragonia hirsuta leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The ascending Tetragonia hirsuta leaves are sometimes yellowish green, their sparse surface hairs stubbly, short and white. The pale, reddish stems in picture appear generally hairier than the leaves.

Gentle blade undulations may be present. Lateral curving down of the blades is variable. The leaf margins may be rolled under (Le Roux, et al, 2005; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; JSTOR; iNaturalist).
