    The stalked flowers of Zygophyllum debile are often paired. The five yellow to pale yellow, clawed petals are obovate, the upper pair usually red- or brown-marked at the base. In picture the markings are V-shaped in a darker yellow patch. These markings vary and there may also be lesser ones on the other three petals. Flower diameter is about 15 mm.

    The plants flower from autumn to early summer. The photo was taken in October (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; JSTOR).
