    Leucadendron laxum leaves

    Leucadendron laxum leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The leaves of Leucadendron laxum are needle-like, their tips pointed and in picture reddish. The ascending leaves here show a slight S-curve, while sparse, long hairs are present. Leaf dimensions are about 18 mm long and 1,5 mm in diameter.

Male plants have slightly smaller leaves. The involucral leaves are inconspicuous, similar to other leaves (Bean and Johns, 2005; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; INaturalist).
