    Hesperantha baurii subsp. baurii flowers lack pedicels, the inflorescence a spike.

    Each corolla has two opposing, slightly unequal bracts. In picture the bracts still concealing the tepals are green or brownish green and longitudinally ridged. The bracts have acutely pointed tips, the smaller one notched at its tip. The outer, bigger bract is up to 12 mm long (Manning, 2009; iNaturalist; https://www.worldfloraonline.org).
