    This Gazania pectinata plant presented its orange flowerheads during September in the Ceres Karoo. Dark markings in at least two colours and neatly repeated angular shapes occur on the bases of the ray florets.

    Many of the narrowly oblanceolate leaves have a few well-spaced lateral lobes, dark green and shiny as the leaf-tip. The plant grows in the open on a stony slope (Manning, 2007).
